Breeding quality, quiet, children's ponies

'Nikki-Jay' Stud is situated in the hills of Bracewell, 3/4 hr drive from Gladstone. The stud is only small in quantity, but consists of quality stock that range in height from 9.3hh - 10.2hh that are suitable for the child rider in mind.

Currently the stud consists of only 6 broodmares, 2 rising 2yo ('04) fillies, 2 rising 1yo ('05) fillies & 1 stallion.

RESIDENT STALLION:
Millbrae Glengarry (10.1hh Piebald).

'Glengarry' will be available to outside mares in 2006. Approved mares only. 

Youngstock usually available for sale.  Visitors most welcome.

Polmore Park is a small stud located approx. 1hr west of Brisbane, via Ipswich. We breed mostly up to height coloured ponies, suited to any discipline and with wonderful temperaments.

Resident Stallion: 

Established in 1972. Brand Y 3 H.
Owned and operated by Dulcie Hewerdine.

Breeding purebred Shetland ponies. Supporting the move to making these ponies workable by small children and up grading the broken coloured ponies. The colour of the pony is important to the young rider.

"Ulvercroft Wellington"   (right)  was imported from England in 1998. Being blue roan in colour, some interesting colours have been bred since.

Other stallions being used at Mini Haven are:
"Blighty Razzle Dazzle" a red and white.
"Gar-won Marty" a black and white.
"Pentland Chang" a black.

Two young stallions being introduced to the stud in the near future will be:
"Northern Sky Saint Patrick" a black and white.
"Mini Haven Boy Blue" a blue roan.

Mini Haven conducts an auction of Shetland Ponies at Easter each year with 2007 being the 16th event. Catalogues are available on request by phone.

Gar-Won is owned by Graham and Wanetta Paine.

We have been breeding Shetlands for 25 years.  Many Gar-Won ponies have won Supreme ribbons at Brisbane, Sydney, Perth and Toowoomba Royal Shows.

Gar-Won Breeds Shetlands 8.2 to 10.2 h ,also broken coloured Ponies. Situated on 100 acres at Glamorganvale in Queensland we have 45 ponies and have foals and young stock for sale at most times, consideration is given when ponies are being sold interstate to show homes. Currently there are 2 stallions standing at public stud POA

Shanjay shetlands are located just west of Blackwater. About 200ks west of Rockhampton.

Our ponies Range in Height from 9hh to 10.2hh. All have been picked for colour, conformation and temperament, with the young rider in mind.

We have 2 Resident Stallions, The pride of our fleet being Kanimbla Silver Monarch (pictured), a chocolate Taffy Tobiano, purchased from KANIMBLA Stud in Victoria. Monarch is a proven Taffy Sire.

Glenraven Shetland Stud ponies have been competing with success in the show ring since 1994, winning championships and numerous placings in led classes, under saddle, in sporting events and with child handlers. We aim to breed a true to type Shetland of good size, 10hh to 10.2hh, and temperament, sound and without fault suitable for riding.

 

Vamara Shetland Stud is situated in Hervey Bay, Queensland and is a member of the Wide Bay Shetland Pony Promotion Group. All our ponies are registered with the Australian Pony Studbook Society Inc.

Dunthomas Shetland Stud has imported this top quality stallion from Scotland. He arrived in Australia on the 4th of August, 2007, but due to the Equine Influenza outbreak he has had to remain in New South Wales.

 

I have always loved the Wells Stud and wanted one of their ponies. And now I have what I always wanted in this lovely young stallion. I can't wait to see his foals on the ground by 2009. I will be accepting outside mares to Highclass in the near future.
